How to enter Grml live recovery on your Crunchbits dedicated server

What is Grml live recovery?

GRML is a bootable Linux live system designed for recovery and rescue operations.

It can be particularly useful in case you need to repair your filesystem due to for example corruption, or recovering data from an infected system.

How can I access Grml live recovery?

1. Select the server that you would like to run Grml on

Click on the server name on Metal.

2. Select the appropirate options for Grml linux

Start by going into the Rescue tab.

Then select the Grml linux .

Afterward, scroll down, and generate a random password [1], or write one in [2].

This password only really matters in case you'd like to SSH into Grml linux

3. Start the rescue

Click on the Start Rescue button.

4. Connect to the server

Connect via Console

Follow the instructions outlined within Entering console

You will be automatically logged in as the root user
