Requesting rDNS
How to request rDNS on a dedicated server
Before requesting rDNS, make sure you have the appropriate A
records set in your DNS zone that point to the IP address you want the rDNS record to resolve to.
What is rDNS?
Reverse DNS (rDNS) records are PTR (pointer) records that map IP addresses back to domain names. Unlike standard DNS A records that point domains to IP addresses, PTR records work in reverse - they tell the internet what domain name should be associated with a specific IP address.
Email servers often require valid rDNS records to prevent messages from being marked as spam. Without proper rDNS configuration, your server may face delivery issues.
