Changing the account password
How to change your password on Crunchbits VPS Control Panel.
When should you change your account password?
If you receive notifications about data breaches affecting services where you've used the same or similar passwords, please change your VPS Control Panel account password immediately. This will prevent bad actors from accessing your metal account.
You should also change it when you see any suspicious activity anywhere you've used the same or a similar password. Even if the strange activity is later on linked back to you doing something, it's always better to be safe than sorry!
Changing password from the dashboard
1. Go to your account settings
Start by logging into our VPS Control Panel. Then On the dashboard, click on the Account button.

2. Change your password
Navigate to the Password [1] tab, then enter your Current Password in field 2, and your New password into field 3. Afterward, re-enter the New password in field 4 as shown in the image.

3. Confirm the password change
Now, simply click on Update Account Password and done!

Changing your password if you’ve forgotten it
In case you no longer have your old password and need to reset it, open the login page for our VPS Control Panel and click on Lost Password? as shown in the image below.

1. Getting the password reset email
On the Lost Password page, enter your registered email address in Field 1 and click on the Reset Button [2].

2. Resetting your password with the reset password link
Open your email inbox and find the email from [email protected] with the subject Reset Password Notification.
Next, Open that email and look for the password reset link and click on it.

On the password reset form, double-check field one to make sure the email address is correct and enter the new password you would like to set in fields 2 & 3.

3. Saving your new password
Once you've entered the new password you would like to set, click on the Reset Password button and you've successfully reset your password!

You can now go back to the login page and log in to the panel using your new password.
