How to protect a VPS

What does protecting a VPS do?

Enabling protection disables the button that lets you reinstall a VPS.

How to protect a server?

Start by logging in to our virtualization panelarrow-up-right, then clicking Manage next to the VPS that you'd like to protect.

Then you'll be presented with a management screen, on which at the top-left, you'll see a padlock icon. Please click on that icon.

Afterward, you'll get a pop up, on which you should click the Protect button to confirm that you'd like that server to be protected.

Then, once a server is protected, the padlock icon will turn into a golden color, and the Rebuild button will be grayed out.

How to unprotect a VPS?

Start by logging in to our virtualization panelarrow-up-right, then clicking Manage next to the VPS that you'd like to protect.

Then you'll be presented with a management screen, on which at the top-left, you'll see a golden padlock icon. Please click on that icon.

Then, confirm that you'd like to unprotect a VPS on the popup by clicking on the Disable button.

Afterward, the padlock icon should turn back to being white, and the Reinstall button should be once again active.
